First and foremost, we hope you and your family are doing well. These past three months have brought about many changes and challenges to us all. The board of directors and staff of Epac want you to know that we are working together and working hard to make sure that Epac survives this crisis. We are focusing on our reopening plans that will ensure the theater has met all the necessary requirements in order to safely open our doors to Epac family, friends and supporters.

Our Kids 4 Kids summer camp program has also been affected by the crisis. Even now that we are in the yellow phase, the restrictions that were lifted do not allow us to open our doors to staff, actors, campers, and their families. The main goal is not to just open the theater but open the theater safely.

The decision has been made to change our summer camp plans and move from the originally scheduled in-person, 4-week series, to an online program. The camp will include a variety of daily classes, individual instruction, and a complete virtual production of a musical written specifically for virtual theater youth programs. There will be individual rehearsals, group rehearsals and a final live-streamed video of the entire production that will be aired on Epacs live Facebook feed as well as YouTube. Special plans are in the works for a “living room red carpet event” the night of the premier performance. We are very excited to bring this opportunity to our K4K families. Sign-ups will be available on our website next week.

We know this is not the summer camp you were hoping for. But we hope you will decide to take part. Because of the changes being made, we are offering you unlimited classes as well as a role in the show. You have already paid for four weeks of camp. As much as we desperately need financial support to keep our doors open, we understand that this crisis has affected everyone and there are families that are struggling as well. If you decide that virtual camp is not for your family, perhaps you might consider donating your registration fee to Epac. If you request a partial or full refund, we will certainly oblige and completely understand.

Thank you so much for your continued support. We would not be here without you.

Take good care,
Andi Hill
Interim K4K Program Manager
Secretary, Epac Board of Directors
